Agreement to these terms
By using SmallPDF Tools, you agree to these Terms of Use and the related Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the website or upload files.
The website is operated by Muzamil Ahad as an individual publisher. Public contact details are available on the Contact page.
Permitted use
You may use the website for lawful PDF and document tasks, including compression, conversion, merging, splitting, organizing, viewing, editing, signing, protecting, OCR, and AI-assisted document review when those tools are available.
- Use the tools only for files you own or have permission to process.
- Review the final output before sharing, signing, printing, submitting, or storing it.
- Follow upload limits, file type restrictions, and instructions shown on each tool page.
- Respect copyright, privacy, confidentiality, and applicable law.
Prohibited use
You may not use the website to harm others, attack the service, bypass security, or process files unlawfully.
- Do not upload malware, executable files, scripts disguised as documents, or files meant to damage systems.
- Do not use automated abuse, scraping, repeated upload attacks, or attempts to bypass rate limits.
- Do not upload files you are not allowed to access, alter, unlock, sign, redact, translate, or share.
- Do not use output from the website for fraud, impersonation, illegal surveillance, spam, or rights violations.
Your file ownership and permission to process
You keep ownership of files you upload. By uploading a file, you give SmallPDF Tools the limited permission needed to receive, process, temporarily store, and provide a downloadable result for the requested tool action.
This limited permission does not transfer ownership. It exists only so the website can perform the action you chose, such as compressing a PDF, converting a document, or creating a merged output file.
PDF processing limits
PDF files vary widely. Some are scanned images, some contain complex fonts, some are encrypted, and some were generated by older software. Results may differ based on file quality, page count, size, security settings, embedded images, and server library support.
Each production tool should show relevant limits, loading states, error states, and result states. You are responsible for checking the output before using it for legal, professional, academic, financial, or official purposes.
Unlock PDF and protected files
Unlock PDF is only for files you own, control, or have clear permission to modify. The website must not provide forced password cracking, password guessing, or bypass tools for files where the user does not have authorization.
If a protected file requires a password, you must provide the correct password or authorization. If you do not have permission, do not upload or attempt to unlock the file.
AI PDF features
AI-assisted tools may help summarize, translate, answer questions, or generate study questions from PDF content. These outputs can be incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or missing important context.
You must verify AI output before relying on it. AI features are not legal, financial, medical, academic, compliance, or professional advice.
Availability, changes, and errors
The website may change, pause, remove, or update tools, content, upload limits, third-party libraries, and processing methods. The site may also experience downtime, server limits, browser compatibility issues, or file-specific errors.
We try to keep the website useful and clear, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect conversion, exact formatting, or error-free results.
Disclaimers and liability limits
The website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, SmallPDF Tools and its publisher are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages related to site use, file processing, output accuracy, downtime, data loss, or third-party services.
